Galesburg Employees Achieve New United Way Contribution Record

BNSF employees in Galesburg, Ill., set a new record in pledging more than $45,000 to the Knox County United Way on Dec. 5.

The contribution is significantly higher than the $35,000 donated in 2007 and the $30,000 donated in 2006. BNSF employees made the donation pledge to United Way during a formal presentation at the Hump Tower in Galesburg.

“We as employees appreciate the work the United Way does to help those in need, and this is our way of showing support for both the organization and our friends and neighbors who have fallen on hard times,” said Rick Danielson, terminal superintendent.
