Holiday Express Continues to Spread Cheer to Military Families

As previously reported in BNSF News, military families continue to enjoy a ride on a specially decorated holiday train in North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana and Wyoming.

Participants often thank BNSF staff at the time of the ride, but one person who rode the train took her thanks a step beyond. Here’s her letter.

To whom it may concern at BNSF:

I would like to sincerely thank you for the train ride you hosted for SD
military families on Friday, December 5. My husband and I have a five year
old son that loves everything trains. He is still talking about riding ‘a
real train.’ He loves the movie ‘Polar Express,’ the children in the movie
are served hot chocolate on the train. To drink hot chocolate on a train was
a dream come true. My husband leaves for a deployment immediately after
Christmas. It was a wonderful evening spent together as a family where we
could forget about the pressures of an upcoming deployment during this
Christmas season.
