Chris Roberts Named Vice President, Mechanical and Value Engineering

Chris Roberts, currently regional vice president, South Region, is appointed vice president, Mechanical and Value Engineering, replacing Craig Hill.

Roberts and Hill will be transitioning over the next several weeks. Roberts joined BNSF in 1975 and has held progressively responsible positions, including assistant vice president, Transportation; assistant vice president, Intermodal Operations; assistant vice president, Operations South; and regional vice president, South Region. 

“We’re pleased to have Chris in this role. He brings extensive railroad experience and strong leadership to this important position,” said Carl Ice, executive vice president and chief operations officer.Roberts will be succeeded by Robert Lease as regional vice president, South Region. Lease will be succeeded by Jeff Wright as regional vice president, Central Region.
