BNSF market-based prices are the most up-to-date, accurate prices for BNSF rail service. With prices that are market based instead of mileage based, you can make the best modal choice for your shipment.

If your application for business credit is denied, you have the right to a written statement of the specific reasons for the denial. To obtain the statement, please contact BNSFCreditDept@bnsf.com within 60 days from the date you are notified of our decision. We will send you a written statement of reasons for the denial within 30 days of receiving your request for the statement.
BNSF's standard terms for unsecured credit are 15 days for Carload (7 days for Intermodal) customers providing that customers meet the requirements.
Prior to your first shipment, you must complete a credit application that may take up to 24 hours to process.
Upon completion and submission of this credit application, applicant agrees to make payments within BNSF standard 15-day credit terms for Carload freight charges (7 days for Intermodal) and 30 days for miscellaneous charges (7 days for Intermodal).
Applicant also understands BNSF Railway will assess a finance charge of .033% per day (12% per annum) on all freight and miscellaneous charges, including demurrage, which are paid beyond our credit terms.
Demurrage is a penalty charge assessed for the detention of cars by shippers or receivers of freight beyond a specified free time.
